I just read "What color is your parachute for young people" by Richard Nelson Bolles. As a career consultant and owner of a labor market teen I made almost every book in category teen-jobs. I had high expectations for this book franchise based on the truly enormous success of "What color is your parachute." This book has exceeded my expectations and then some. The book stresses the importance of determining whatWe are interested in and then the choices of career planning on the base.
What I like most about the book is its simplicity and direct approach. The authors appear in all decisions that young people find a career and, above all, a roadmap for the exploration of career effectively. The book also helps young people to decide what to choose majors. I wish I had this book when I was a teenager, because I was undecided until my third yearCollege. I also like that the book was written for pleasure, and to educate not only young people but also their parents. There are a lot of suggestions, what can parents do to their children make important decisions about their careers. I also like how the book uses examples of stories of practice and submit their views.
Finally, I would recommend this book to any high school or college students, management has difficulty deciding on atheir professional future. I would also recommend to parents of teenagers and educators.
